Aurelius is honoring our hero, Daniel J, a former special operations soldier with nearly 18 years of experience across three different units and five countries.  After struggling with PTSD and depression, Daniel was introduced to Shields and Stripes, where he attended a pilot program in Phoenix, Arizona. During this program, Daniel was able to work with a team of psyches and athletic coaches and gained tools that he will carry with him for the rest of his life.  Since attending the pilot program, other opportunities and doors have opened up for Daniel, including the chance to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with the help of Aurelius and its team of adventure guides.  The Aurelius and Shields and Stripes program has had a lasting impact on Daniel’s life, and he is grateful for the tools he gained from the program.  Watch the rest of Daniel’s inspiring journey here.
